Suppliers Honored at Sixth Annual Supplier Diversity Awards

Limited Brands held its sixth annual Supplier Diversity Awards on May 10, recognizing certified diverse supplies for their outstanding service. The 2010 Diverse Supplier of the Year recipients were:
Limited Brands also presented its Partners in Supplier Diversity award, recognizing companies for demonstrating their commitment to doing business with diverse suppliers in their own companies. The 2010 Partners in Supplier Diversity recipients were:
In addition to Limited Brands’ Diverse Supplier of the Year and Partners in Supplier Diversity awards, the company also honored two internal teams as outstanding Supplier Diversity Advocates:
- Store Design & Construction
- MAST Global Beauty & Home
Both teams are represented on the Limited Brands Supplier Diversity Council and champion program objectives with other internal partners to address their procurement needs.
“Our philosophy at Limited Brands is to let our values guide our thinking about inclusion and diversity efforts,” said Marvin Clayton, vice president of the Office of Inclusion and a member of the supplier diversity steering committee. “Diverse suppliers help us understand more than we can on our own making our perspective more complete, and 2010 was a year of continued growth and evolution for our program.”
Limited Brands has operated a Supplier Diversity program since 2003, and it has grown to include suppliers certified as small businesses, or that are owned by minorities, women, veterans or members of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender communities. The Diverse Supplier of the Year award recognizes certified diverse suppliers for their outstanding performance in supplying products and/or services to Limited Brands.
